Iranian celebrate Sizdah Bedar. It's a day when Iranians immerse themselves in nature and enjoy the beauty of spring. In this video, I discussed the connection to nature from the past to the present among various segments of society and how is their behaviour towards environment. In the video, you can see girls tying green sprouts. One of the enduring traditions from the past during the Sizdah Bedar is the custom of tying green sprouts. Young girls recite poetry and tie the sprouts, wishing for a good year ahead. In the poem recited while tying the sprouts, they express hopes for marriage and having children by the next year. However, nowadays, young people do not hold much belief in this tradition and perform it for amusement and fun.

I explore Iran's significant strides in combating #climate-change, showcasing its dedication to environmental preservation and sustainable practices and an occasion to talk about #ecomedia in the next couple of weeks. This is a story of hope, tradition, and the relentless efforts of a nation to forge a greener future: a call to action.
